EMS Radioisotope Tracking
Radioisotope Tracking Quickstart and Functions
Upon logging in to EMS online, the first screen you will be taken to is the default quick start menu. To navigate to the radioactivity tracking system quick start menu use the drop down menu in the upper right hand corner of your screen:

The screen is divided into functional areas:
Corporate: Set up your corporate information. Enter or manage the data of your Facility , Buildings and Locations of your system.
Maps: Once you have entered the Address / zip information of your facility and Buildings, you can
find them at the map, as well as information related to the building. Having setup the
necessary information of the building, (required for the maps to work), click at the Maps icon of your Quick Start RTS menu.
Now you can see the buildings registered to your system, marked at the available Google
map. Click at the spot marked on the map and information about that specific building will be available.
If you click at the “click here for more info” link, a fully functional building screen will open. You can navigate through the map, zoom in or out by using the left tool displayed at your
Under the “Select building info” title, at the right of your map screen you can see relative
information linked to the selected building.
To move to the RTS tab, click on the title of the tab. If you click on an Isotope, the Isotope
screen will open, whereas if you click on the “Click here for more info”, the toggle browse of
the Isotopes will open. To close the map, click at the X at the upper right corner of the map
The Isotope icon will open the Isotope screen, where you can manage the
Isotopes registered at your system.
Continue to setup your RTS license record in order to continue with your RUA set up.
In the RUA screen you can manage all the vital information for the monitoring of your RTS system.
When ready you can continue to purchasing (and/or receive) an isotope from the purchase icon.
Click the Vial icon to manage the vials of your RTS system.
Your vials need a Tag, so open the Tag screen to enter the relevant data by clicking on the
Move on to the Drum screen by clicking the Drum icon. Pickup or
Request waste vials from the Waste pickup request icon
The Waste Types icon will open a popup screen where you can Add, View, Edit or Modify
data for the Waste Types of your RTS systems.
Click on to Add a Waste Type. Enter the information you want, click to Save and exit this screen or to exit without saving.
Note: if you see only a Cancel button instead of a Save and a Cancel, it means you do not
have permission to alter the data of your system. In that case you should call your system
If you wish, you can search for a record by using the find function of the form. Select your
criteria, and click on Seek to perform a search.
Alternatively you can exit the form by clicking the button.
If your user has custom reports assigned, you will always see them at the Quick Start menu,
under the Report Center section. Click on the desired title and the report will load on a new
window at your RTS screen.
Click the EMS 5.0 icon and a new window will load.
