Provided initial site evaluation and master planning services for the development of an 83-acre property, for the future coporate headquarter of Westinghouse Electrice Company’s nuclear design division. Developed a master plan, which included layout, grading and earthwork studies to determine the feasibility of the proposed 900,000 square foot campus, with adequate parking to meet the client’s higher than average needs.
Incorporated new stormwater quality BMPs into the design by designing planting strips between each bay of parking, with each acting as a bio-swale to improve water quality while managing stormwater runoff. These sustainable design elements are assisting in the pursuit of LEED Certification for this project. Retained for the remainder of the land development and site design process, including civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, surveying, wetlands impact permitting, environmental and construction monitoring services.
