Chemical Safety Software just released version 6.3 of its Environmental Management Systems (EMS). The new version offers significant enhancements to the software following requests and recommendations from our customers, as well as keeping abreast with the changes and requirements imposed by numerous federal agencies. EMS 6.3 also includes many new features and tools, including an updated set of our industry-leading EHS mobile apps for iOS, Android and Microsoft Surface.

We have introduced a significant set of tools to allow chemists, researchers, and EHS (or HSE) professionals to manage their chemical workflow effectively and comply with many new regulations as well as facilitating chemical management and regulatory compliance with an advanced rules-based system. The rules-based system within EMS takes into account chemical classification, Uniform Fire Codes (UFC), Hazard Classes and various other regulations to provide a location-based management system for chemical compatibility under the same location, regulate limit quantities, impose limit thresholds and create storage plans.

EMS 6.3, offers additional enhancements on the user’s interface, such as Quick Actions (one-click functions for updating onsite chemical and waste generation and usage), setting reorder points in order to automate stock control of your most used chemicals, setting storage limits for safety, new compatibility rules for proper chemical storage, enhanced management reporting capabilities, updated environmental regulatory reports including Tier II, the Waste Biennial Report, the DHS COI report, state-specific reports including California’s CERS and the New York Biennial report, and integration of the newly enacted e-Manifest program.

With the current version of Environmental Management Systems (EMS), our customers have an improved experience and manageability over their SDS management interface, chemical inventory transactions, waste management workflow, regulatory compliance and AdHoc reporting.

Chemical Safety’s EH&S mobile apps now include the ability to perform customized onsite audits and inspections with automated alerts, notifications and corrective actions, enhanced tools for moving and updating chemical quantities and locations, moving and disposing of labpacks and other waste and the industry’s most up-to-date mobile SDS database. Our global SDS and chemical reference database include over one million up-to-date Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and GHS hazard and safety data for labeling and storage compliance.
