ADDING AN MSDS: (IMPORT)

  • MSDS Management (enter Password EMS/EMS)
  • Select ADD
  • Input Data on MSDS Reference Import Screen
  • Input Synonym(s) and Component(s)
  • Scan Image or associate text file *.txt
  • Select IMPORT and Import MSDS into EMS

EDITING AN EXISTING MSDS: (UPDATE)

  • MSDS Management (enter Password EMS/EMS)
  • FIND the existing MSDS
  • Select EDIT
  • Update Data on MSDS Reference Import Screen
  • Update Synonym(s) and Component(s)
  • Update Images or associate text file *.txt
  • Select UPDATE and :
  • If you are updating an MSDS with a newer MSDS, ARCHIVE and UPDATE
  • If you are EDITING an existing MSDS to complete or correct DO NOT ARCHIVE, just UPDATE the MSDS

EXPIRED MSDS’s

  • MSDS Management (enter Password EMS/EMS)
  • FIND the existing MSDS
  • Select DELETE
  • Select DELETE And ARCHIVE
  • Enter ARCHIVE COMMENT (MSDS Expired)

VIEWING ARCHIVED FILES

  • MSDS Management (enter Password EMS/EMS)
  • Select FIND and then Select YES to find all records
  • SELECT ARCHIVE
  • Select BROWSE ENTIRE ARCHIVE
  • FIND the ARCHIVED MSDS by typing in the product name
  • Select View to see the archived msds information

ENTERING HMIS, NFPA, OSHA, DOT AND EPA INFORMATION FOR AN EXISTING MSDS

  • ENTER WINDOWS EMS (WEMS)
  • Select MSDS/MSDS
  • Find the MSDS (using the flashlight icon perform a query)
  • Select MSDS/Prod. Ref.
  • Select EDIT/EDIT  and Edit the MSDS Product Reference Information
  • SAVE

PRINTING HAZARD/REGULATORY SHEET

  • ENTER WINDOWS EMS (WEMS)
  • Select MSDS/MSDS
  • Find the MSDS (using the flashlight icon perform a query)
  • Select MSDS/Prod. Ref.
  • Select FILE/PRINT
  • EITHER PREVIEW AND PRINT OR PRINT

MANAGEMENT REPORTS

  • ENTER WINDOWS EMS (WEMS)
  • Select FILE/MANAGEMENT REPORTS
  • EITHER:
  • Select EXISTING report and PREVIEW
  • MODIFY Existing report by Selecting OPEN
  • Select CREATE to create a new report
  • Select CLONE to use an EXISTING report to CREATE a new report

COMPOSITION REGULATION REPORT

  • ENTER WINDOWS EMS (WEMS)
  • Select MSDS/REPORTS/COMPOSITION REGULATION REPORT
  • Using three button drop down box, select the regulation you would like to query, and select preview to view the report

COMPOSITION LOCATION REPORT

  • ENTER WINDOWS EMS (WEMS)
  • Select MSDS/REPORTS/COMPOSITION LOCATION REPORT
  • Using three button drop down box, select the composition name and/or CAS# you would like to query, and select preview to view the report
